Today, Thursday, 13th March 2025, the Dukku Emirate Palace witnessed a historic and colorful event as two newly appointed District Heads (Hakimai) and six Village Heads (Digatai) were formally presented with their letters of appointment and recognition, approved by His Excellency, the Governor of Gombe State.

The brief but dignified ceremony was held in the presence of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Haruna Abdulkadiri Rashid II, CON, along with members of the Emirate Council, family members of the appointees, and community representatives.

“This event symbolizes the continuity of our traditional institution and the vital role it plays in maintaining peace, unity, and progress within our communities,” said the Emir during his address.

The recipients were commended for their service and integrity, and were charged to uphold the values of the throne and serve their people with honesty and fairness.
